Wall is a spacious spot you need to be attentive with. If you don’t decorate it at all, yes it is fine, but you don’t want your home to be boring, right? Be playful with your wall, whatever the color is!
Wall decoration consists of a lot of things, you can be very creative with it; it is ranged from simple hanger to the magnificent expensive fancy paintings. You can start with hanger. Instead of boring white square hanger, why don’t you try to put on decorative hanger with various shapes?—fleur de lis, round, oval... Basic shapes are great either in solid colors or with featured pattern sticker. Put on bright, vivid colors like red in apple shapes and yellow in lemon shapes in your kitchen to live it up—green broccoli and orange carrot too, maybe? Oven mitten and tea cosy can’t be more delighted to have those hanger! Work with pale yellow color on your wall, and solid vivid colors will really pop out! Try grainy pink and soft blue in your bathroom to match your marble or terrazzo floorings, but you can also wear neutrals such as white, gray, or black, or even warm like gold and brown. Be more cheeky in your bedroom! This is where you spend your day in, you want it to be more special. Buy hangers in various interractive shapes such as quails or branches. Try to flip through your interior design magazines to search for good shop that’s selling these kinds of decorative hangers.
Wallpapers may be applied to your walls too. You can cover the whole wall, or you can use a scroll of wallpaper and create motive on the border of two different colored paints on your wall and use borders instead. If you want to be more playful, try some murals in various shapes; your children would love some animals murals on their bedroom and play room! Wall stickers can be a great finish too to your house: stick a big figure of shadow tree and flying passerine birds besides your cozzy reading couch and get your imagination flies high.
You can decorate your walls, of course, with family portraits: try your year-to-year portrait; from your earlier days to the day of your marriage, your first labor, your baby’s first walk, until she turns teenage and all your family’s achievements. You can also try to place abstract cut of mirrors instead of classic framed mirrors. Put on fabulous clockwork will be another good idea too; try more contemporary design to create futuristic and elegant housing, or even go back with cuckoo wall clock that is so retro and vintage! But if you are now dealing with super grandma-cozzy house, you can place your tableware collection on the walls! Put some sticky hot glue on the bottom of your fancy plates and place it on your wall; this is a very great touch you can try at home!
Painting can be another option for your wall decoration, but mind that it could be a little expensive. So instead, you can frame your children artworks and place it on your wall! If your son happens to have great painting skill, you might use your wall as his free gallery too!
