Home is meant to be for everyone, not only for you or your husband. Think about your children; does your house save enough for them to run around freely? A baby can turn your world upside; your house should be renewed for the sake of their safety. But that doesn’t mean that you should throw away your glass vase and change all your wooden chairs into soft sofa cushions. There are tips and tricks to make your room safe for child without bringing down your interior beauty design; you know, there’s nothing you should sacrifice in order to create a humble living place for your lovable family.
Our first suggestion is to put your big, wooden cabinet to a safe place where, even when your children running around, you can always have them on the reach of your sight. Besides there are possibilities that your children might bump into the dully pointed corners of the cabinet, your cabinet, if left unlatched, probably contains of hazardous materials such as cleaner or colorful camphor balls that look like candy to your child’s eyes. Or if you keep books upon your cabinet, some bumps from your active baby might lead the books to fall and it will hurt your baby—it’s good if he only got hit by the body, but what if his head stabbed by the corner of the book? Harness your bookcases and, when you’re not around, at least always remember to, at all time, keep the door closed tightly.
Next is electricity. Young children tend to be attractive to two black holes in your socket and might even poke into it with their small fingers. To keep this from happening, install plastic protectors into the sockets within their reaches. And of course, always keep children away from fire. Never to light candle within their reaches; don’t ever think about lighting candelabra as your dinner’s centerpiece. When you’re leaving cooking utensils while it’s still on fire, make sure you turn the handle around to the inner side of the stove so your child won’t grab it with possibility for it to stumble upon them.
Make sure that you’re keeping away hazardous chemical or any inedible compounds around your house from children. Use child proof caps for pills and camphor balls. Keep away your make up and bottled fragrant oil and put it at least 45 inches from the ground. Store your cleaning agents somewhere tall and can be closed; and always remember to close them and to put them not in the edge of the storage for it may fall. Don’t scatter small stuffs that might choke your children such as toothpaste caps or earrings. To keep your baby from going unsupervised in general, install a baby gate on their playing ground. And, this is the most important, never leave your door open unattended. Your baby can crawl and you don’t notice them. Especially with front door opened, she can crawl outside the house and there are much more disaster outside than those on the inside.
